The Minerals Council South Africa jointly with GEE Policy Committee and Examination Committee has taken a decision to suspend the sitting of the May 2024 Examinations for all Intermediate and Advanced MEC Papers (MEC Advanced Paper 1-6 and MEC Intermediate 1-2) as scheduled on the CoMCert website examination calendar.
The reason for the suspension of the MEC Examinations is to institute a more robust examination administration process and to eliminate any opportunities for the integrity of the examinations to be questioned or compromised.
All MEC examination candidates who registered and paid for May 2024 Examinations will be deferred to the October 2024 Examination schedule without any added cost and will sit the October 2024 Examinations.
NOTE
ALL OTHER EXAMINATIONS WILL CONTINUE AS SCHEDULED. ONLY MEC PAPERS ARE CANCELLED.
